A personal recommendation to everyone is the Yellowstone Playhouse located less than a mile south of the cabin on Highway 20.  A family friendly live dinner theater that includes a GREAT meal and a night of laugh-out-loud, 'til you cry fun!   Visit www.yellowstoneplayouse.com and make a reservation.  You will not regret it!

Hiking

There are lots of beautiful places to hike in Island Park.  None of them are extreme and all are family friendly.  Try going to Mesa Falls, Sawtelle peak, Big springs trail, Box Canyon trail, and Harriman State Park. For more information go to http://www.alltrails.com/us/idaho/island-park.

River float trips

Floating the Rivers

There are a couple rivers in Island Park fun to float. None are "white water" rafting, but calm, scenic floats that are so enjoyable for all ages.  Macks Inn offers rentals for the nearby river (no rapids) but to float the Box Canyon portion of the Snake river or the Buffalo River you will need to bring your own inflatables.  Macks Inn Adventures will transport you upstream to the top of the river. To see the cost of rentals go to http://www.macksinn.com/.
